This paper presents the design and simulations of a dual-polarized indoor antenna to receive the signal provided by the traditional ISDB-T system, operating in Ultra-High Frequency range destined to the radio-frequency channels after analog switch-off. The design goals were towards low cost, simple construction and implementation computational for indoor applications and with good performance in terms return loss within the frequency band. The antenna was designed and optimized using a full wave electromagnetic solver, and the results indicated that the proposed antenna has a good performance, simple structure and is a suitable candidate to be employed in the current digital television standard as in the next-generation of digital broadcasting.
